Hosted by the Vegetarian Society of South Jersey, two speakers will discuss the vegetarian lifestyle.  Whether you are thinking of becoming a vegetarian, currently a vegetarian, or would like to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of cutting out meat products, this discussion is for you!

Presenters are Mary Ann Cavallaro, author of What My Dog Told Me About Healthy Eating and Danielle Ann Capwell, a Creative Mindset Coach who focuses on habit change and diet. To register click here

Cooking Demo: Tips to Get a Healthy Dinner on the Table Fast

You want to eat healthy, but you don’t always have the time to prepare healthy meals. Sound familiar?

Then you’ll want to attend this cooking demonstration where suggestions to simplify and speed up your meal prep will be provided. You’ll get to view a demonstration of several quick, easy recipes and sample each one.

Through her own personal health crisis and healing through dietary changes, Christine now helps others by bridging the gap between what they should be eating, and actually eating it. She does this through diet coaching, private and group cooking classes, personal chef services, workshops and lectures. She is certified as a holistic health counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through the T. Speaker Bios:
Pamela Cloud Brighton, Co-Founder, President, and Chairperson of the Board, Oasis Animal Sanctuary
Pam could best be described as an assistant to Mother Nature, dedicating her life to nurturing and caring for the innocents of the world. She attended Rosemont College PA in 1986 and received a Holistic Health Practitioner certificate a year later. She then attended Camden County College and received an Associate’s Degree in Animal Science in May 1990. While in college, she had the opportunity to study under Dr. Harriet Doolittle extensively in the field of animal husbandry. Pam worked at the Little Feet Wildlife Refuge and Rehab Center, caring for land mammals and assisting in wildlife rescues and fulfilled a 300-hour internship requirement at a local veterinary hospital. After college, Pam was Manager of the Live Animal Unit at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia PA caring for over 100 birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians used for education. In 1995, she took the position of Assistant Manager at Mullica Hill Farms Inc, in Mullica Hill NJ, and was responsible for the 27-stall facility and its inhabitants of horses, dogs, cats, farm animals, and wildlife. Pam also completed a 300-hour course to obtain a Homeopathic Practitioner certificate from 5 Elements School of Classical Homeopathy in Parsippany, NJ, and attended a two-week course at the International School of Homeopathy in Alonissos, Greece. Pam left Mullica Hill Farms in June of 2001 to co-found The Oasis Animal Sanctuary with Phyllis Van De Weghe.

Dawn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Stockton University and has over thirty-five years’ experience working in the non-profit field to benefit the community. Most recently, she is following her passion to open a local vegan café and market. Dawn has obtained the following accreditations: Plant-Based Nutrition from T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at eCornell, Rouxbe Online Culinary School Forks Over Knives Plant-based Cooking Program, and Rouxbe Plant-based Professional Certification. While in the process of opening the Gentle Giant Café, Dawn has been presenting cooking demonstrations and lectures, catering, and teaching others how they can eat and live a vegan lifestyle.
