Join Public Eye: Artists for Animals and The Parkway Central Library Children's Department
for our hands-on program, "Stories from the Wild," with storytelling, art projects, and
creative movement. The featured book, "Lightfoot the Deer," written by naturalist &
author Thornton W. Burgess and told by storyteller Loretta-Lucy Miller, is an exciting tale
about a courageous deer who survives hunting season with the help of both human and animal
friends. Artist Zipora Schulz and dancer Lara Vracarich lead the hands-on activities.
This Public Eye: Artists for Animals' Kids Club event is free and open to the public.

and serve a buffet.

Each individual in your party (with the exception of children under 12) brings a
vegetarian* dish to share that will feed at least 6 people (vegan** dishes preferred
so that all types of vegetarians may enjoy the food), along with the recipe or a
list of ingredients. Please bring your own plate, cup, and utensils if possible
(we will have extra place settings) to promote recycling.
Beverages are provided.
* Vegetarian = No Meat, Fish, or Gelatin.
** Vegan = No Meat, Fish, Dairy, Eggs, Gelatin, or Honey.
